He is the younger brother of Balázs Zságer. As a child, he learned piano studies at Music School in Kaposvár. Later Ákos played in different bands as a bass player and keyboardist also, most notably the Kaposvár- based alternative band called Starving Nuns and the indie-pop band The Puzzle in the middle of 90′s. At the same time, he started a career as a technician and musician at the Csiky Gergely theatre. From the beginning, he was the co-visualist in the background in the early years of Zagar. Meanwhile, he played as a featuring bassist in a couple of studio records, as well. In 2007, he joined the band and he has since played on the Cannot Walk Fly Instead album and has been playing live as the permanent bassist of the band. Besides the band, he is involved in many theatre plays as a composer at different theatres like the Hungarian National Theatre, National Theatre Miskolc, Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre Subotica and many more.
